Last Updated: 11th May 2026

Welcome to Norfolk Window Film. These Terms and Conditions govern the sale and installation of residential window film services. By booking an appointment through our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.

1. Definitions

  • “We/Us/Our” refers to Norfolk Window Film.
  • “You/The Customer” refers to the person booking our services.
  • “Services” refers to the supply and installation of residential window film.

2. Bookings and Appointments

2.1 All bookings are made via our online calendar system.

2.2 A booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email and payment has been processed.

2.3 It is your responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the installation address and contact details provided at the time of booking.

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1 Prices for our services are as displayed on the website at the time of booking.

3.2 We use trusted third-party payment processors, such as PayPal, to ensure your transaction is secure. We do not store your financial details.

3.3 Full payment must be cleared through our secure booking system prior to the installation date.

4. Installations and Access

4.1 You must ensure that the glass surfaces to be filmed are easily accessible. Please move furniture, ornaments, or window treatments (curtains/blinds) prior to our arrival.

4.2 We require a clean, relatively dust-free environment to ensure a high-quality finish. While we take every professional precaution, microscopic dust particles can occasionally be trapped under the film; this is an industry-standard occurrence and does not constitute a defect.

4.3 We reserve the right to refuse installation if the glass is found to be damaged, cracked, or structurally unsound upon arrival.

4.4 We are not responsible for any glass breakage or seal failure caused by pre‑existing faults, thermal stress, or glass types that are unsuitable for window film.

4.5 If we cannot carry out the installation due to lack of access, unsuitable conditions, or the area not being prepared, we reseve the right to charge a £60 wasted visit fee will.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

5.1 In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel; however, by booking a specific date for a service, you acknowledge that your right to a full refund may be limited if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice.

5.2 If you wish to reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.

5.3 If we must reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, illness, or equipment failure), we will offer you the next available slot or a full refund.

6. 10-Year Film Guarantee

6.1 Norfolk Window Film provides a 10-year manufacturer’s guarantee on the film product. This covers:

  • Bubbling, peeling, or delamination.
  • Significant discolouration or fading.

Slight variations in colour, shade, or appearance between samples and installed film are normal and not considered a defect.

One follow‑up visit is included for any genuine issues. Additional visits requested by the customer may be chargeable.

6.2 The guarantee does not cover:

  • Standard “wear and tear” or physical damage (scratches, glass breakage, or gouges) caused by the customer or third parties.
  • Damage caused by using abrasive cleaners, sharp tools, or ammonia-based products.
  • Glass breakage due to thermal stress or pre-existing flaws in the glass

6.3 To claim under the guarantee, you must provide the original proof of purchase.

6.4 Window film reduces heat and glare but does not eliminate them. Daytime privacy films do not provide privacy at night when interior lights are on.

7. Insurance and Liability

7.1 We are fully insured with Public Liability Insurance for all residential installations.

7.2 Our liability for any loss or damage suffered by you shall be limited to the total price paid for the services.

7.3 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, as required by UK law.

8. Aftercare

8.1 Following installation, window film requires a “curing” period (typically 30 days). During this time, you must not clean the windows or apply any pressure to the film. We are not responsible for damage caused by cleaning, touching, or applying pressure to the film before it has fully cured.

8.2 Failure to follow the provided aftercare instructions, including the use of incorrect cleaning agents, will void your 10-year guarantee.

9. Data Protection (GDPR)

9.1 We only use your personal information to process your booking and provide our services. Your data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and will never be sold to third parties. For more information see our privacy policy and cookie policy pages.

10. Events Outside Our Control

10.1 We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our control, including illness, extreme weather, supplier delays, or vehicle breakdown.

11. Governing Law

11.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

12. Related Documents

12.1 By using our website or booking our services, you also agree to the terms set out in our privacy policy and cookies policy.

13. Final Notes

13.1 These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The version in place at the time you make your booking will apply to your installation.
