The Pre-Arrival Checklist
For the day before your install
To ensure a flawless finish, the installation environment needs to be as clean and clear as possible.
Our window film is applied with a specialized solution, and our trained professionals work meticulously to minimize bubbling. However, to ensure the best possible finish, we kindly ask you to follow these steps the day before your Norfolk Window Film appointment

1. Clean The Inside of the Glass

Wash the Windows: Thoroughly clean the glass on the inside of the windows being filmed. Use standard glass cleaner or soapy water.
Focus on the Edges: Pay extra attention to the sills, frames, and rubber seals. Dirt often hides in the corners and can be pulled onto the film during installation.
Dry Completely: Ensure there is no standing water left in the tracks or on the frames.
2. Eliminate Dust and Hair
Vacuum Thoroughly: We recommend vacuuming the room (and any nearby rugs or carpets) the day before. This allows any disturbed dust to settle before we arrive.
Pet Owners: If you have pets, please try to keep them out of the room once it has been cleaned to minimize floating fur.

3. Clear the Workspace

Remove Window Furnishings: Please take down any curtains, nets, or blinds that may obstruct access to the glass.
Furniture: Move any furniture (sofas, tables, desks) away from the windows. We require a clear working area of at least one metre in front of the glass to move our equipment and handle the film safely.
Clear the Sills: Ensure all plants, photos and ornaments are removed from the windowsills.
4. Accessibility
Access to Water: We may need access to a sink to fill our spray bottles with clean water.
Electricity: While most installs don’t require it, access to a standard plug socket is always helpful just in case we do need to use some of our equipment.

Why is this necessary?
Window film installation is a “wet” process. Any dust on the sills or floating in the air can be drawn under the film the moment it’s applied. By following this checklist, you are helping us ensure your 10-year guarantee starts with a perfect, crystal-clear finish.
Thank you for your help! We look forward to transforming your home.
